I love the raw energy and the playfulness of this album, as well as the time the album belongs to. Buzzing guitars never sounded as good as they did in those few years between 85-88 (when Sonic Youth was still underground and the Pixies were just about to emerge). This is part of the same "reinvention-of-the-guitar" legacy. Pure reckless fun !!!
