Eight cosmic indie-electronic tracks with nicely layered soundscapes and repetitive beats create a melancholic but also somehow soothing atmosphere. The songs are as groovy as they are ambient, and many of them venture into IDM territory. Overall the record isn’t the most diverse or daring, but it sets a specific mood with a very shimmering and pleasant sonic palette and an ear for beautiful melodies. The record is mostly instrumental, just on three tracks we get to hear mastermind Jimmy LaValles voice. This mixture gives the record a nice flow and a feeling of self-containment. The record sounds fantastic on vinyl…very spacious, warm and detailed. Definitely a recommendation!
