Listen to side 2 of the single LP done at QRP on a decent rig. There is a distinct and distracting “sshsssssk” noise throughout side 2. That sound is not to be heard on the Optimal pressing. Friend of mine bought several copies and has verified the flaw is on all of his copies. I hate to fork over nearly three times the price for an Optimal pressing, but I won’t pay list price for a pressing this noisy. I would encourage anyone who hears the side 2 flaw to return their copies. Maybe they’ll own up to the problem which can also be heard on several other recent pressings of note. QRP’s brag stickers promise “unmatched quality control” and claim to be “the world’s best pressing plant.” Not on this release.

Mine was horrible in all regards as well (I like the mix, though). Took it back and bought the deluxe from Optimal. Yes it’s triple the cost but worth it as the bonus content is actually great and the quality is on the other end of the spectrum, up there with the best I’ve encountered.

No problems with my copy. Has a decent inherent volume (but probably could have been mastered better for vinyl). Crisp, clear, well balanced. I like the mixes.

This is different. It's not bad. It's just different. The imaging is good; but it is different. It's also remixed so it will have a different vibe compared to the former mix. Quality Record Pressings claim: "Sourced directly from the original 8-track session tapes." Not sure what people are talking about w/ this being a digitally sourced pressing. Also, QRP is a reputable company, so I'm having a hard time believing the naysayer's claims of this not being sourced from the tapes.

As with the other 50th Anniversary remixes, this one is essential as well. Great pressing with great sound. I can't wait for the rest of the remixes to come out, hopefully, more than 1 album per year after Let It Be is released.

I really do not care for this mix. It's flat, boring, and has no depth. The vocals and the guitar sound so lifeless. Listen to the 1969 release and you will absolutely hear a difference. I'm done with the Abbey Road remasters, the only good mix/pressing I've heard is the original. I'll stick with my 1969 copies.

Absolutely amazing sound and value! 5 SOLID STARS. I see nothing to complain about. I bought the single LP version because I did not care much for the extras, and while the single LP version is $20, the 3 LP version is around $80. The sound is spectacular, and YES, I have heard things in here I have not heard before!
If I had to but the DeLuxe version I'd probably buy the CD/Blu-ray because of the Blu-ray and because the book.

Not perfectly quiet at first but after a couple cleans it is. The real problem is that my side 2 is pressed off center. Unfortunate coming from QRP.

I got mine from Amazon and already have a replacement on the way. Way too much surface noise for a new pressing. Music sounds fantastic tho!

This is an essential collectable. The 2019 mix by Giles Martin and Sam OKell is superb. Nothing gimmicky or strange, they just gave it a much fuller sound that seems to surround the listener. I have not heard the new CD edition, but this mix is well fitted for vinyl. I don't usually say this, but it's a "must have"
