This is an album from a little known overlooked beat combo from Liverpool - *sigh* if only more people knew about them (maybe I was being a little sarcastic there)! Some really great tracks on this release and it's very eclectic covering every genre conceived that existed in 1968, though John's experimental piece - Revolution No. 9 is full-on unleaded nightmare fuel (Number nine, Number nine, Number nine,! ). Best tune by far on the album is Helter Skelter - A very amazing proto-metal song with some incredible vocals from Macca.

Probably the album I've listened to the most in my lifetime. I was fortunate to have a friend of mine give me an original 1968 version of the LP with the serial number. (2270403, by the way.) It's certainly one of my most prized possessions.
