I agree, this particular pressing does not match the sound quality that you'd find on other pressings that might come from more reputable sources. If you're shopping, I'd read reviews around here and pick the one that talks about the best sound quality because this is a record you really want the nuances and sonic moments to shine.

Avoid. Awful pressing. Sounds completely flat with no dynamics whatsoever.

I don't know what you people are talking about this vinyl sounds better than the cd as do all the plain vinyls I have I think people always feel the need to bitch about something

Plain Recordings is not a pressing plant. They are a reissue label that does not press it's own records. According to the runout matrices, this was pressed at Rainbo, which is in fact a very inconsistent pressing plant with serious quality control issues.

Blame Plain Recordings for more serious offenses like choosing Rainbo and having questionable mastering sources.
