Not surprising that the powers-that-be would put this on a single, but surprising that they'd choose to spread it over two sides of one instead of whittling it down to one.
Unlike the other Cream 45 edits, not much editing here. Side one consists of the first 2:25 of the song, faded, and side two picks up cold around the 4:00 mark, where Bruce returns to the harmonica lick. (I can't remember if features the entire section or just the last two repeats of the lick. I haven't heard it in years, but I am leaning towards the latter. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

An important part of the 'Fresh Cream' LP. Says far more about Cream than any of the hit singles.
Not only missing from the original U.S. LP, but when issued as a single misses the majority of Clapton's solo.
