Good pressing overall. The mix is very well done, only tending to be a little high on bass. This release sounds much better and richer than my 1985 CD The Cure - The Head On The Door, I even discovered new sounds I had not perceived before. The packaging is very nice: labels, sleeves and printing is high quality. Cons: I did find some surface noise, noticeable on song transitions, and at the beginning of each side; also the disc is a little bit off-centered. 4 stars.

Sounds fantastic. Press is dead quiet, not a lick of surface noise, as a matter of fact there are no pressing flaws, plays flat an centered. Comes in polylined sleeve with additional laminate replica inner sleeve. I was concerned how these cure reissues were going to sounds because I think they're cut from digital. But the audio is high definition with great clarity and an open soundstage. They did this remaster justice. Drums have good prescence and the guitar sounds bright and lively. Bass coulda been a tad bit heavier but it really doesn't take away from the nice sound. Very clean sound and for $20 or less definitely worth it to add to your collection.

Wow, this reissue sounds so damn good. I don't think my 80's pressing ever sounded this good.
