'Computer Love': Purist electro H-E-A-V-E-N. Futurist, minimal, dark & sublime machine funk of the highest pedigree, and one of thee best from the lover. Still makes my spine tingle today. A very special record...

Two amazing cuts of two amazing tracks, both of this versions are louder and longer editions than the ones on the lp, Egypt definitely stepped up everyone's game with his imaginative lyrical content and off the beaten path style , not many artists had then or now, such a style, that is new romantic, yet solid street hip hop simultaneously. Computer Love obviously is a reference to Mr Broussard's beloved Kraftwerk Computer Love (yet a complete departure taking the track into darker, grittier territory), Mostly an instrumental track if not for the initial intro where a vocodorized voice utters "Computer Love" , and the occasional sinister cackling of what sounds like an evil android. "And my beat goes Boom" is an amazing poem-like rap, and the drum patterns (808 ) are killer, a seminal work of west coast electro history.
