Like the incredibly prolific Rocket From The Crypt, The Hellacopters cared about their fans and enjoy(ed) giving them inventive packaging, limited edition colored vinyl & exclusive and/or non-LP b-sides, always at a reasonable price.
The Soulseller flip features 1997-era Hellacopters covering "Ain't Nothin' To Do", a song originally on the Dead Boys debut LP. Over the years their cover choices have been loving nods to the bands who influenced them, as well as an education for audience members who couldn't hear The Damned, Rolling Stones, Victims, Stooges, Kiss, etc. in the Hellcopters originals.
Added plus: Dwarves crooner Blag Dahlia on lead vocals!
Added plus #2: Secret messages etched into the matrix on both sides. In very bold uppercase lettering you'll see...
Side A reads: "The major problem was that..."
Side B says: "Stonehenge almost got crushed by a dwarf".
Maybe it's no coincidence that the b-side's singer is in The Dwarves, tho it's not their 1st Stonehenge/Spinal Tap reference.
Throw in an amazing cheesecake sleeve by Nicke & Guerilla Art & it's another worthy offering from one of the most important rock'n'roll bands of the last decade.
