Hi we want to make clear what happened with this track on our recent release.

We initially sampled the main parts from a random white label (maybe another bootleg or promo?) and thought it would be fun to do an edit for playing out when DJing. However we needed a B2 track for this ep and just decided to use this edit. We should never have released it in this form, it's not creative sampling and we appreciate that, we should have just kept the edit for ourselves. When we realised what track it was, we felt terrible as we are both huge fans of the original producers, Terrence Parker and Claude Young. It was just one of those things where it was a white label.

We have contacted the original writer and are happy to give up any/all profit that the record makes. We pressed 300 as we normally do from which we make hardly any money after pressing and other costs (usually way under €100) but are happy to give any profit made. As with all our releases we dont do digital.

With regards to some of the comments taking the moral high ground, just take a look at Juno where you see straight bootlegs of disco stuff and even some early nineties house stuff. As with all the House Nerds releases we were almost going for a Cabin Fever vibe - edits that are created from sampling the original record using the EMU sampler and produced with 2011's studio tools. We realise that is no excuse however in this case and If we could go back and give proper credit to the original writer and track we would.

Again our sincere apologies, The House Nerds.
