An absolutely incredible album! Covering Beefheart songs is a formidable task, and one that most would, rightly, shy away from (he cannot be matched, so why attempt it?). Instead of trying to attempt to replicate his sound in any way whatsoever, these two guys just do these scratchy Avant-Hillbilly versions that are fantastic in their own right. Great for Beefheart fans wo don't mind a bit of irreverence.
