The toilet was never indecent. That pressing was what had gone out before California Dreamin' had hit. Putting the advertising blurb over the toilet just happened to be the most logical place for it. The black border cover was cheaper to produce and ABC-Dunhill rarely made a new pressing without something identifiable by sight to distinguish which pressing it was -- it was a visual cue for inventory purposes.
