2020 and Mars Volta albums (specially this one and Frances, two of the greatest albums of the 00's) still have no reissue. I don't get it.

i bought this after finding it on one of those all time great prog rock lists but the high pitched vocals remind me of muse/emo music which at first listen was very irritating then i started to notice the epic nonsense that is the lyrics and with each listen the irritation builds.
there are some nice moments amongst the hysteria but this will be my first and last album from these guys as i prefer old school prog and generally not a fan of 90's to present day alternative rock.

Remember when Cedric called out these Music On Vinyl re-issues as bootlegs and was promising their own official versions coming out?? That was 5 YEARS AGO and yet, nothing. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

does anyone know what the best vinyl pressing of this album is? cant afford the original silver but still want a good quality vinyl version of this album

In the last month, some 50 vinyl copies of this have shown up for sale here. Its nice to see that a sudden flooding of the market hasn't driven down the prices.

No one is going to buy it unless you offer it for a reasonable price. Savages.

When the heck are they going to print this again , and why haven't they? Its like $200 for a record....that's insane...I don't know what it takes to do this but maybe a record store day release or something I don't know...I just love this album and would love to have it on vinyl

Anybody else have a CD copy that doesn't look anything like the CD in the provided images? My CD doesn't have ANY printing on the label side. It looks like a blank CD, but plays fine. The barcode matches this one but the Matrix/Runout code on the disc is B00 005 9302 01@A. It was purchased new from a Best Buy not long after it came out. EDIT: I also tried playing both sides in case it was an unintentional double CD overlooked at the factory. Only one side plays.

A voyage between psychodelic/new age melodic landscapes and harsh metal/punk bashing rythms, with some remarkable solos and ostinatos.

Hi there,
About the 2xlp album. I'm not 100% sure but I believe GSL printed these copies in a few times. First pressing was in 2003 (5000 copies I believe maybe less), some records (the other 10000) had a later date I believe. They have the same catalog number but there is a difference between them. I know this because the website GLS had a very detailed that time. Maybe some people can check this info. I only have a copy from 2003.
An other option is to look for the GSL website but it looks like it dissapeared.

Anyone know anything about the fakes out there? I have a copy with some bootleg looking inner sleeves compared to the original I bought from gsl in 2005... the sleeves in question are laminated and lower quality. My originals are thicker, sturdy, better quality. I'm wondering if the whole package is fake?
