I can't believe how many copies of this are laying around. "Essalam" is one of the most unique house/techno songs out there. Listen to it...

Let's be clear...Moroccan Jack hardly...um sucks...this is a dance floor destroyer in the right hands. I agree that Essalam is the more esoteric of the two tracks but Moroccan Jack stands the test of time and still burns bright and while it may not be as immediately 'classic' as 'The Way' it is still a stunning intense and emotional track. Music is all about ones ears and opinions...everyone's got one or so they say.

As something of a Middleton/Pritchard/Global Comms/Jedi Knights historian, I guess the trick with this overlooked EP is that Moroccan jack sucks, and Essalam, while being pinned down by a tough, deep, swinging classic Tom M house beat, its just a bit out there & 'exotic' for todays floor. The kids won't get this one. Good, f**k em', i'll keep it to myself...

This an incredible piece of atmospheric House that starts (Esselam) with about 2 minutes of beautiful Arabesque music and vocals and then drops into a pulsating relentless groove that uses chord progressions that are moving and jacking at the same time. I have dropped this in the middle of a set, cleared the floor then brought them back. Very underrated masterpiece from Tom Middleton.
