On careful listening and evaluation with the full stereo mix on the "Our Best To You" UK MGM compilation Crazy Horses is in some kind of duophonic interfered with mix not wide stereo the wahhh wahhhh organ is centered in mono. on the true stereo mix its over to the left side of the soundstage and the pounding guitars on the right!

Basically this dire 12" is a total sonic gaff and needs to put away on the shelf this was diabolical mastering.

This is the only original MGM 45 release of One Bad Apple that was mastered, cut and pressed in it's stereo mix

and is THE only version of this you will ever want or need. It's a gem

IMPORTANT WARNING!

Please be aware that the recording of One Bad Apple on this 12" is neither the original UK mono 45 mix OR the stereo mix.

It is a SUM-mono mix of the left channel only of the stereo mix and has 50% of its content, and sonics missing.

oddly only the German original MGM 45 and the UK MGM Our Best To You compilation album have One Bad Apple in its true stereo mix.

The note is a little off the mark, particularly as some copies come with a press sheet stating that Polydor would be re-releasing One Bad Apple on 26th September. The reason that this was not commercially released is that The Osmonds contract stated that the record company were not allowed to change their material in any way, meaning that this incredible remix would end up shoved to one side. I guess someone at the record company decided it was worth pressing up a few cheeky copies and risk the wrath of The Osmonds lawyers!
