My copy has a sticker "Special Price" at the top right sleeve and the word "The Police" in red. There is also the printed inner sleeve "Specia Price High Quality Pressing " same The Police - Outlandos D'Amour but the label does not match but is identical to that of The Police - Outlandos D'Amour.
My matrix is AMLH 68502 A-10 1 side A and AMLH 68502 B-10 1 side B.
Add a matrix variant to The Police - Outlandos D'Amour or create a new issue?

I have an autographed (by the three members) 1978 UK copy with a "Promotional Copy - NOT FOR SALE" sticker. The Matrix runout is AMLH 68502 A 1 and AMLH 68502 B 1. Still sounds as good as ever.

I have just opened a sealed copy I've had for ages, but the shrink wrap (as it says on the tin) is shrinking & starting to warp the outer sleeve so I released it. The cover has a Chrysalis 'Price Busters' sticker to it so I never thought this would be a 1st pressing.
My runout on side one has 'AMLH 68502-A12' 'tone' on it (with the 'tone' being written upsidedown),
side two has 'AMLH 68502 B11.
The Lp also came with a 'Price Busters' booklet with colour pics of other Lps within this range and a plain white 'important notice' inner sleeve.

My runout on side one has 'AMLH 68502-A12' 'tone' on it, side two 'AMLH 68502 B10' - wondering if anybody else has this as it is not listed above?

First album I ever bought, back when it came out, some tremendous catchy tunes, that still sound good today.

Fantastic. Punk to pop bridge, successful.

Oh, Roxanne is so riotous all about a prossie that no wonder 1978 was so rebellious
I was amazed how they got away with The Bed's Too Big Without You.
Such heady days
Yes, a great Punk trio.

Hey,

My pressing of this has the same label as the original 1978 UK version but has the matrix/runout etchings:

(Side A): AMLH 68502 A-10
(Side B): AMLH 68502 B-11

Also instead of having the "Tone" Mastering signature it says BJA(pi) - the pi is not the word in brackets but the mathematical symbol for pi.

Anybody else have this, know anything about it?

Cheers.

This is still my favourite Police album.
It still sounds fresh after all the years!

I have a copy (sp-4753) with a green "The Police" font. Anyone know why it's green? Every copy I see has a Red font or in some cases Blue. Thanks!
