Got this last week from Amazon. Cost me £116, but I am reasonably happy with that as P&P was free and it is harder to get in the UK than the US from what I have seen. Listening for the first time now and it is the best I have ever heard this album sound. Haven't picked up any of the distortion issues others have mentioned. The artwork is super impressive. Two large booklets included with the intricate inner sleeves, a sturdy outer box and 4 pieces of vinyl. I love this album and after 25 years of listening this is the best I have experienced it.

So glad I didn’t pay even $175 for this. The guys asking $200+ are just going to watch their listing for this just sit there. Why? Because if you put this in your want list, eventually, as happened to me today, a copy will come up for $115. Even$140, $150...no need to pay even those prices. So it was $135 including everything. It kills me the way people try to price gouge by fishing for these absurd prices. I don’t know what happened, but someone has access to these sealed ‘12 reissues. I almost paid $200 at a local store because about a year ago their seem to be many copies out there for sale.

Is anyone else seeing store listing this as stocking soon (end of June, beginning of July)?

I've ordered one from woodwind & brasswind. They're quoting a July 1 Ship Date but I can't find any info out there about a repress happening. Woodwind & Brasswind isn't the only store that's listing it for sale for around the same time so maybe the news hasn't made it out there other than to distributors. I'm just curious if anyone has any information about this and if I should actually expect to receive my order or not lol. I've been looking for this album for a while now and I'm not interested in paying 200+ dollars for it. I'll happily pay the $100 for the 4xLP Deluxe Edition at retail price though.

I'm cautiously hopeful right now.

The mastering on this release it's not the best. I knew the guy who did it and his work is pretty bad. He has mastered some of my albums that I put out and we always had significant problems

I just got my copy a few months ago. Brand new. No surface noise problems at all like some have reported, so it must be fixed! It sounds FANTASTIC!!! Great pressing!!! I have original pressings of all SP LP's except this, and I'm pretty happy with having this in my collection!

Just got my hands on the 4LP EU-Version and while I stil find this one too expensive (I really don't need this fancy deluxe stuff) the pressing quality and sound of the remaster is just awesome. Though I must admit, that the album has lost (to me) some of the magic over time. The album is just too long and there are definitely some filler that I don't really need. My favorite album will always be siamese dream.

I just got the repress of 2012, USA version of the The Smashing Pumpkins ‎– Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness 4x LP Vinyl Reissue.
https://www.discogs.com/release/4082874

I got it off ebay; initially told it was the EU/UK version. Ah, well ..... As all have said, beautiful vinyl, nice packaging. For Zero, i do her the IGD that many others have fedback about.
However, it is ONLY in the penultimate 30 seconds, when Billy Corgan is screaming his vocals - that i hear the IGD / distortion bit. The last part of the song, the last line when he sings the line "She's my one and only" , that sounds Perfect, with NO IGD ! ... It is my understanding that, if there is IGD, it should get worse closer to the label the stylus goes, or remains the same, not get better. So, how come the vocals in the last line - sang 'acapella' with no backing guitars - sounds great with no distortion, whereas the earlier vocals are distorted ? is it because of the loud guitars affecting the vocals and hence the grooves ? or, because it is mastered 'hot'/'loud' ?
Does that make sense ?
And, yes - my TT and cartridge and stylus are properly aligned and tuned, etc. - other records with minimal dead wax have no issues.
Sorry , i know my description is not very technical ! . Thanks in Advance.

I own the repress of 2012
The packaging is top and the sound is there and there ...
If anyone can tell me the difference between the Repress USA and the Europe?
Because Matrix numbers are the same
