Notes

This was released for sale from "bricks and mortar" shops only, not Web sales. NB. NOT RECORD STORE DAY.

The Queen Is Dead has never been released as an A side single, this is the first time it features on a single.
Apparently, the Queen Is Dead version is a very rare edit version, clocking at only 6.05 minutes, omitting the intro from the LP version.
The 3 B sides, which are the only Smiths instrumental tracks, have never been released on one single, only on separate singles.

Seems to also be available in the US. Only $13 each from Bullmoose for both the 7 or 12"s.

Dubious quality pressing i'm afraid. Just played it and the A side seems to have some heat damage on my copy. Played through but the start of the B side had some skips and jumps. It's from where they pack them so quickly after pressing and seal them in cellophane. The quality control from these people is abject.

It is official. i've just picked up copies of the 12 and pic disc for myself but the shops are not allowed to advertise it or sell online. So you have to call in or maybe phone them.

This and the 7" are supposedly getting officially released June 16th. So yes it is official and you hopefully shouldn't have to pay flipper prices.

Check Boz Boorer's facebook photo holding a copy - you'll know it isn't a bootleg

If we check RSD version of The Boy With The Thorn In His Side (https://www.discogs.com/The-Smiths-The-Boy-With-The-Thorn-In-His-Side/release/10167113) we can almost conclude it is official. The Catalogue number is similar and also the labels.

We are a 19 year old record store in Hungary. We bought 3 copies directly from the local official Warner distributor, thus I have my doubt this is a bootleg.

How were these released? Maybe whoever is selling them can help me? How were these obtained on the first hand market? Until I get an answer I am skeptical of this being an official release unless factory workers at Warner are sneaking these home from the press before it "officially" gets released. Too many questions and not enough answers
