I would say this is a pretty good pressing when it comes to sound quality. I haven't heard the 2lp 45rpm version but this yellow pressing sounds great in my opinion. It's just the off center labels that are really annoying. I'm happy with this pressing for now. But if another version comes out with better packaging (centered labels) and sound quality as good or better than this, i'd surely be all over that.

Just had one of our customers say that their copy was on black vinyl despite the OBI saying "lemon yellow". Didn't know about all the other complaints below. Seems like a high price to pay for low quality.

I wasn't very happy with the quality of this LITA pressing. My copy exhibited 'non-fill' pressing issues, warps, and 3 of the 4 sides were pressed off-center. It seems I'm not alone, if you check the page of LITA website which advertises this item you'll see a load complaints in the comments section.

I read the other reviews and I night Have been unlucky because my copy sounds really bad. Lots and lots of pops on all sides. The fact that the rec level is low forces me to increase the volume and that worsens the noise thing. Don't know what to do, perhaps I will contact LITA

I am gutted my disc 1 side 2 plays really badly! Am I the only one! Have got two but wanted to keep one sealed! Agree about the advertising strip though it does spoil it! Have got the original pressing though plus the two double vinyl's (one from Australia), so cant complain I suppose!

This pressing is surprisingly good, audio-wise. The colored vinyl sounds excellent which is a tricky thing to pull off as most colored vinyl presses are a mess. The four sides play at 33 rpm which helps in my opinion -- I have the Silvertone double vinyl release from the early 90's which is pressed at 45 rpm, and I would argue this press sounds a tiny bit better. The gatefold sleeve is a classic "tip-on" style jacket, and while the inner sleeves are generic, they are the poly-lined ones. This is my third version of the album (I have the original US Press, and the UK double vinyl press from 1991), and I can easily recommend this one. My only gripe is the label and their stupid obi-strip advertising other albums on the label. Sorry, but I have zero interest in seeing D'Angelo standing there with his shirt off, thanks.

Anybody got a review of the pressing/sound quality on this?
