Others who have this pressing - do you also have the gold-stamped "Loaned For Promotion/Not For Sale" warning on the back cover? Top right?

HI there! I wanted to do two things with this review: 1st of all I want to say that this is a good album in & of itself, i.e., for the genre. I remember when Love is the Law came out in 1983. I can't remember, exactly, what month it hit the streets, so it was either in the latter part of my sixth grade school year or else it was in the fall/early winter of my 7th grade year. Anyway, I recall seeing it at this record store in the big mall near where I grew up, When it was a new release it was up on the "New Release" wall, among other newly released albums (and, since this was still 1983 they were all vinyl records; it wasn't until over the next 3 years or so that CDs, at 1st, gradually, then faster & faster, supplanted records, though cassettes hung around longer, just disappearing sometime around the last 17 years or so. Great title track. Very catchy!! Also "Rattle My Bones" was an infectious groove that kept one hopping. Other highlights include "Perfect Communist", "Monster" and "Skin". But hard as they tried, The 'Burbs didn't have that Great American indie pop record that they had with Credit in Heaven or In Combo but still worth adding to your collection nevertheless. One other thing: I read above that in the inner sleeve of Love is the Law there was some kind of "disclaimer" that read "The title 'Love Is The Law' is the opinion of The Suburbs, stands alone and has no connection whatsoever with Alistair Crawley [sic]." However, I'm not sure if this was a mistake on the part of the Discogs writers or if this was actually the way it was printed out on the aforementioned inner sleeve of Love is the Law. What I'm getting at, to anyone who hasn't already noticed the error is that Alistair Crowley's surname is misspelled ("Crawley"); and, was that intentional, i.e., a sort of inside joke? If so, it's so obscure as to render said joke meaningless. Either way, it's misspelled & I wanted to bring this to the attention of Discogs & to whomever else may be reading. Thanks. Toodles.
