For a record with such harsh reviews, it's amazing how expensive this reissue has become. Hopefully a proper reissue is in the works...

The sound quality of this pressing is between mediocre and poor - and I have a very clean copy. It's not a well-balanced sound; bright and simply lacking any warmth or soul. Listening to "Wild Horses" should be a transcendent experience if this was a good mastering, but falls flat on its face, even on an extremely high-end system. I have a number of high-value rock & metal records in my collection that justify their price; this one I'd be disappointed if I'd paid even $10 for it. There is absolutely no point buying this over a digital copy. Not worth it; stay away!!

Given the issues other reviewers describe here, it's amazing how expensive this has gotten.

My copy overall sounds really great. Crisp, clear, like others have said maybe on the bright side but it sounds right for this album. The only issue I noticed was with some sibilants, and only one or two harsh ones that stood out. It is totally listenable and enjoyable.

My copy is heavily warped and full of sibilance. A terrible pressing.

Mine sounds great. No issues with static or sibilance. A little bright maybe, but that’s how this album should sound. Very crisp.

No warping on my copy but there is sibilance, which for those that don't know is a static like hiss generated during consonant syllables (like S, T, and Z), caused by disproportionate audio dynamics in upper midrange frequencies.

In comparison the CD version sounds clear and smooth, God Made Me being a good example. I'm not a fan of the brown coloring of the vinyl either, seems an odd and somewhat unsightly choice for a record.

There is sibilance for sure. It is a bad pressing.

Just got mine, played it once through. Off centre a bit but none of the audio issues that others are having. Sorry for those that got a lousy copy. I hope future reissues of this great band's catalogue are more carefully produced.
