The abrupt ending of Sexy is very strange and the sound quality on Law of the Land is kinda messy. Pressing problem?

Bought all three in the series so far. Still haven't read anything about the sources used, or whether they are actually Knuckles edits (or simply in the 'style of' ... like the Ron Hardy-inspired 'Ron's Edits' edits some years ago.) The pressings are good, but the sound across all three 12"s is a little 'muddy'/flat - which suggests that they actually are from vintage analog sources. Stand out for me is 'Law Of The Land' which has authentic sounding vinyl 'crackle', and a great James Brown vocal interlude, but the sound levels go in-and-out throughout (quite dramatically in places), which might make it hard to play out ... followed by 'Midnight Girl' - which has a 'Hardy-esque', looped/repetitive feel to it ... If these are from Knuckles' tapes then they are clearly of historical significance ... my guess is they must be, as if they weren't the sound levels would probably have been better.

Anyone know how this and other releases in the series sound?
