I'm not a great fan of Dub Reggae - I find it can be utterly self-indulgent to the point of being unlistenable. Not so "Dubrevision", the most recent album from THE VISION. Although I have not heard the other material from this band, I feel it's more a 'Remix' album with interesting embellishments, that a bona fide 'Dub' album. For instance, several of the tracks feature true vocals, as opposed to the dribs & drabs you hear on many albums. The music? It's quite commercially approachable - a little like UB40 at their best, but the roots are closer to Jamaica. THE VISION are worth looking out for.
