At least we can rest easy knowing that none of us will ever own this. Why they didn't release them separately I'll never know...

Just got my hand-signed insert in the mail yesterday. It's the standard "Trilogy" cover art on heavyweight paper signed by Abel in silver marker. Should fit perfectly inside the box set.

This thing had to be bought up immediately... Loft music, The Zone & Dirty Diana on vinyl is the best thing to happen so far in 2013

And yeah, he's hand signing 500 special inserts and sending them to everyone that bought a copy so :))))))))))))) good looks all round really...

Now if we could just get the Chopped & Screwed versions on vinyl...

I wanted to buy it especially for House Of Balloons, but come on 200$?? it's not Michael Jackson or The Beatles rare boxset! Hope an individually release of each EP, and cheeper (understand at a true price)!

"To all the fans,

We sincerely apologize for the issues with the Trilogy Vinyl Box Set. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication internally and you were ultimately led to believe the packages would be hand signed. To make up for that, everyone who ordered the set will receive a complementary lithograph insert, which will be hand signed, and a special item from the new project later on.

Sorry once again and we hope you will continue to show your support in the years to come."

It was expensive but limited to only 500 so I think in terms of value, reasonable. It's a bit like a flip-side of Radiohead's in Rainbows release - it's a personal question about what do you think this music, this medium, this package is actually worth? No middle men, just the artist and the buyer, take it or leave it...

Beside the dodgy fake signature ploy, (Let's be honest) - it is hand numbered and is a lovely collection. It looks, feels and sounds great. It's satisfyingly heavy, the sleeves nicely textured and the music speaks for itself.

I wouldn't be arrogant enough to attempt a critical review of the music other than saying I like it a lot, despite having little interest in any other RnB style music. I can't really identify with half of the lyrical content which is at times disconcertingly menacing but the tone of the whole trilogy gels with the subject matter brilliantly. Individually or as a 'whole' collection, it works and is utterly absorbing. The production, beats, musicianship and his voice are all outstanding and to maintain this over one record would be impressive but to do so over three is something else.

I don't know how it was recorded but I presume the vinyl release an after-thought but still hearing it coming off vinyl, uncompressed, the bass tones and the reverbs are infinitely more appealing than any other version I've heard.

I've been waiting to get this on record long enough so I bought it as soon as I could despite the price tag. A genuine autographed copy would have been nice sure but I bought it to listen to, not to stick in a vault at the end of the day... I also remembered that the first time round he gave all these albums away for free too which puts it in perspective a bit.

The numbering is hand done, but Abel's signature is just a image file of his name printed on each one of the art inserts.
