i feel it is safe to say this is the ultimate live at leeds issue to get even though since 2002 when this boot came out this whole show plus the hull show has been officially released by pete townshend, what you get here is no clean studio touch ups for a reissue, on these two cds you hear the show as it happened on february 14 1970 warts and all, there is a bit of popping as this boot was taken from a vinyl boot but the midas touch label in japan back in these days had a way of really tweaking the sound up so none of that is really annoying, i honestly feel that even though back in 2010 the live at leeds deluxe box set was an awesome release THIS IS STILL THE BEST VERSION TO GET if you want to really hear what it was like to be at this gig on 2/14/70, also the bass was way off on the night of the 14th, on the official release (as documented by pete townshend) they lifted the bass lines from the hull gig the night before on the 13th and that officially saw the light of day in 2010 as well, the bass is a bit weak on this becouse again THIS IS THE REAL LIVE AT LEEDS mistakes, screw ups and all just the way i like my live albums to sound AS IF I WAS THERE!!!! ps regarding the hull gig for the past 46 years the bass lines you always heard on live at leeds where really taken from hull the night before becouse the bass was way off at the leeds show...
