Thelma Houston is an artist where I only have a few LPs. But each one I get seems to knock me over. "Turn Me Down" rocks relentlessly. I couldn't just tap my foot; I had to get up and dance about my living room. What a joyful record! "What He Has," the title track, "High," "Short Life" and "Out of My Hands" and great records. I enjoyed hearing a song written by one of my favorites, Carly Simon. There is a hip-hop chorus on the first track, but I would hardly call this a rap record. It's a bit dated with the drum machines, but Richard Perry's production and Thelma Houston's vocals blast through this entire disc. I didn't think there were weak spots. This is a great record! I'm so glad I discovered it! Enjoy!
