Yeah people are sleeping on this big time...full on understated theo funk which builds just enough.

I don't understand why Suns of Osiris isn't as highly demanded as other Theo Parrish tracks. I'm a big fan of his discography and this has to be my favourite. The way it builds up, the laid-back but mysteriously dark atmosphere, it's such a beauty! Every serious music lover must have this!

Osiris is an Egyptian god, said to be a legendary king, who became ruler of the underworld - the suns of Osiris, to me, evokes ideas of other realms and 'hopes of securing his blessing and entering the afterlife which he rules'.

Wow. Upon repeated listens, this 12'' really stands out amongst the other records in my Parrish collection. Not much happens in these 11+minute selections but they really evoke a profound sense of longing and feeling. Songs by Theo Parrish go deeper than most...
