Unusually for a compilation, this album features overdubs by the band members to bring it in line with how their production style had changed by 1977 (in particular, using twin guitars). The three tracks from 'Vagabonds Of The Western World' were left in their original mixes. Whilst this compilation was not released on CD, the remixed tracks were eventually reissued on the remastered CDs of Thin Lizzy and Shades Of A Blue Orphanage in 2010. For reasons unspecified, the intro to Brought Down was cut slightly on this compilation compared to the original recording, starting on the second half of its riff. This was not corrected on the remaster.
