A roots classic everyone should own and place next to their Bob Marley classic. Inventive, poetic social commentary wrapped in a warm veil of tight bass lines, swinging drums, creative keyboard work and excellent studio engineering. The vocals are distinctive and another element that made this band very original i.e. lots of harmonies. 96 degrees the title track is a classic. First time I heard this was live by some local reggae band on South Beach in Florida in the mid 1990s and tho I was then ignorant of the origins of the songs genesis the music was so well composed and hook laden my quest to quench my Third World thirst began. Just go out and buy it you will NOT regret it and perhaps you can place your UB40 and Marley cds/lps aside for a while!
