For my money, a great EP. As has been mentioned before, "What To Do" fits in well with harder techno sets. However, I'd also add Roulé Boulé to that - a fine track which still sounds great mixed in with jackin' house and techno alike. I'm not so much of a fan of Ventura/Outrun personally, but a quick glance at this comments section will tell you that I'm in a minority there. All-in-all, a solid release that still packs a punch.

Honestly, a bit hyped. I understand and appreciate the contribution of Roulé in shaping the French sound, and eventually even the sound of dance music in the late 90s (in the form of MSBWY), but this release has very little going for itself. I like "On Da Rocks" for the chilled out beat, and "Ventura" for creating the atmosphere of suspense/thrill, but other tracks are very forgettable. Same goes for Vol. 2, except for "Club Soda", in my opinion. It's hyped because it's a T-Bang production, but Trax On Da Rocks, both volumes, are Roulé's most ordinary releases.

Love it. A tiny bit dated, but every song on the EP can still rock a dance floor and get everybody moving. Thomas Bangalter really hit the nail on the head with this 1995 release. Very influential house record.

Cant help it, but sound of this is very outdated and had grown very old. B2 could sound decent, but that terrible synth sample is really bringing it down and that's case with all the tracks. This is that part of house music history which is already behind us and there is no reason to return to it. 3* for nostalgia factor
