its a nice mix and very relaxing , if you want a very mellow journey these compilations will fit the bill , for more upbeat extended range and more dynamics look elsewhere

Of all the thousands and thousands of mix cd's ever brought into the public domain, this collection will remain for all time at the top of the pile. It is virtually impossible to describe the incredible journey you are subjected to once launched from the start of CD 1 all the way through to the final few strains at the end of CD 3. Tom Middleton shows what a complete master he is at mixing sounds, including tricks such as 2 tracks effortlessly interweaving, tiny snippets from some others, beats, breaks, jazz, groovy funk, and just plain odd tracks all melded together like nothing else. To try and describe the choices and how they fit would be mad and VERY time consuming - suffice to say a glance at the artists on offer gives a glimpse into the sheer scale of thought behind the selections on offer and the ensuing sequencing which is hardly run-of-the-mill by any stretch. Yes - this CD collection has been perfectly named!

Getting the a copy of the cd release is essential to appreciate the effort gone into crafting all three mixes but if you're a vinyl junkie, what makes this triple vinyl pack worth the effort to find is because it's the only place on vinyl that I can see to get both Blue Effect 'Skybound' and Envoi 'Landscapes'.

Both tracks have a 2-step beats but aren't UK Garage tracks. 'Skybound' is a rather dreamy, gentle audio trip with effect-laden vocals and staccato guitar licks whilst 'Landscapes' has tougher beats still offset by some serene female vocals. Both tracks exceptionally good productions and since the triple vinyl pack only has a fraction of the total tracks used on the cd release, I'm glad they chose to include them on here, seek this release out!
