Any one know if the 8 x 12 boxset is being
Repressed like the 12 inch double packs.

I have the CD version of this ,the mastering sucks . Not as bad Philly Regrooved 3 But it sucks just the same . A total waste of money . When Will i See You again Sounds really bad.

Great collection of Tom's extended remixes, both new and old. Standouts are the Lou Rawl's songs and the O'JAYS (original) version of "This Time Baby". The LP version was quite short, but the song finally gets the extended treatment it always deserved.
This rendition of the song was passed over by DJ's in favor of the Jackie Moore version, but there is NOTHING wrong with the O'Jays version.

This is one hell of a box set. Wonderful mastering and it sounds much better than the releases back then. Bought it when it was released, and to a back then reasonable price :)

They should re-release this. To hell with limited edition. Good music should never be limited.

The mastering on the box set vinyl is quieter than the earlier three 2 x 12" releases - which each had only one track on each side (The box set mostly has two tracks per side.) Very happy I bought the box set on release - no idea it had become so hard to find, nor that the original 2 x 12" releases (which I also have) had become so expensive (like the Dimtri from Paris Philadelphia releases.) Timeless music.

I waited and waited and saw the price climb on this box set. And finally bought one of the last mint copies in circulation from a guy in Italy off of Ebay. So glad I did. It is unlikely that you will find this again. Worth every penny, as many of these mixes have never been released before. What Tom Moulton can do with an already classic song, turns it into an absolute masterpiece--it is so thrilling to hear new parts of these songs, new long instrumental parts, that make them even fresher and more beautiful than before. We are talking superlatives with this box set!! One of my most favored purchases in my entire vinyl collection.
