So. I own the retail US version and recently acquired the Promo version. It was partly because of my interest and partly because of one project of mine. They have both no difference in content and sound. Track lengths are the same between them (so why in here there is length differences by a second?). There's no artwork in Promo version.

I recently compared the tracks on the disc to the ones I ripped from the game which I also own. The disc has a nice sound but compared to the versions in the game, loudness war has affected the soundtrack album. Which is somewhat bad, as I enjoy the soundtrack a lot. Especially when I am playing the game itself.

So. If you want the soundtrack and you don't have the game, there is no difference in which version to get. But if you own the game, get the audio from the files and you get better quality and something the soundtrack won't have.
