referencing Wild Thing, 12", DV1002
1st US 12" pressing with DV1002 cat#, red labels with black script, Island distribution and picture sleeve (1988)
2nd US 12" pressing with DV1002 cat#, red labels with white script, Island distribution and picture sleeve (around 1989)
3rd US 12" pressing with 162 441 002-0 cat#, red labels with white script, Island distribution (and company sleeve?) (around 1990)
later US 12" reissues with DV1002 cat# again, red labels with white script, Traffic Entertainment distribution (and company sleeve?) (around 2004)
As Delicious Vinyl has released some reissues of Masta Ace records and stuff around 1998 I'm not sure if there exists a reissue from 1998 of this record as well...
If you know !!!for sure!!! if picture sleeves (not company sleeves) exist for the 3rd or the Traffic pressing please leave a comment. I'm just saying "for sure", because at the moment Tone Loc - Wild Thing seems to show erronously added pictures of the original pressing with Island as a licensee. You won't see legit Traffic pressings mentioning Island!

Try and snag a copy of this record, house DJs. It weighs in at about 126 BPM and plays at 45 so its a PERFECT tool to throw into a DJ set to surprise people with a nice broken beat and a flavor of the old school. DJ Stew understands this, hence the Funky Munks release which samples this track. I've got two copies and I use the instrumentals as battle tools. An extremely versitile piece!
