Toro Y Moi ‎– Underneath The Pine

Just received my copy from the Toro y Moi Bandcamp store. It looks beautiful but definitely have a couple issues with mine which is ultimately disappointing.

-Some surface noise on the first couple tracks of side A.
-Surface noise and consistent pops on the transition between "Before I'm Done" and "Got Blinded"
-Surface noise on "How I Know"
-Similar pops on side A between "Good Hold" and "Elise"

Spinning on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo with a Sumiko Rainier cartridge. Gave it a cleaning with a carbon fiber anti-static brush but still having these issues. Might have to hit up Carpark Records store.

Didn't anyone get an extra copy? I got 2 pressing when I ordered only 1.

Fantastic looking pressing, as noted by others. I had very minimal surface noise, no pops, and the wax itself was very flat, very minimal warp. If you haven't already picked up a copy, I'd wait for a few more reviews if you're concerned about the wax quality as I may just have been lucky with my copy. That being said, I think overall this sounds great and well worth the money (approx. $20 when I purchased it 03/2021).

Great looking pressing, however the pre track groove and the first song has a loop jump/bump/skip in it. sucks... have not been having good luck recently.

EDIT: Both sides... have a locked/skipping groove on the outer edge... drop the needle, catches the groove and sends it right off the platter.

definitely some noise but I guess that's to be expected with these crazy colors

A truly beautiful album, many listens will keep it intact.

More drawn up than the previous album, this work has less affects of ambient music, and more complex textures.
