4 of 5 stars:

My copy has some pops on the first tracks of side B and C. They are clearly hearable since the soundtrack is pretty quiet.
Besides that the pressing is good.
Also I was a bit disappointed that the inner sleeves are of very thick paper. Of course they are printed with nice old photos, but the discs were over and over scattered with little paper particles. I had to give them a good cleaning.

If you are looking for a brutal 3rd person shooter soundtrack go for the DOOM soundtrack record. QUAKE is more ambient noise. But maybe you are a long term fan of the game, like me, and you know that.

If you really want to enjoy this album you shoul buy a CD. This is so amazing ambient soundtrack that begs to be played loud every time. So it's not a best decision to enjoy it on vinyl. Crackle is much more noticeable.

Do you think I should be in a hurry to get this vinyl? I want to get it but even the retail price seems a bit much for me (I literally got Deviations 1 for less than this). But lately, I always have that worry that something will suddenly go out of stock and be impossible to get. It just seems that every time I see a vinyl that I semi-want, I go "Nah I'll get it some other time", then it almost defintiely goes way up when I go back to it later. So basically what I'm asking is will there be more eventually? Also on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the 2010 pressing of pretty hate machine and 10 being basically any of the definitive remasters) how awesome is this vinyl? XD

Satisfied but not impressed with my copy (especially regarding the price i've paid for it):
- After my 1st inspection i've noticed light marks here & there plus two fingers marks. It came from the factory since the record was new and sealed. Even after a cleaning, side A & B weren't especially silent which is pretty annoying for ambient music... Seems like i'm one of the few out there though.
- I knew already, but it's pretty disappointing not to get the inner that has been designed for this release. Thank God, Trent found a way to make it available... now, i need to shelve some more bucks to get a printed version.
So, like other 'Definition Editions', QC & design has been pretty inconstant as far as i'm concerned.

There are no complaints about the quality of vinyl or printing, but the filling is mediocre. Only the beginning of the first track is gorgeous, the rest is almost a set of some monotonous sounds that have nothing to do with music. I regret not having read the digital version before purchasing.
Perhaps the value of this release is high for the fans of the game, but not for me, although I am.
---

Got mine today. EPIC release! Listened to it after a wet clean to remove static and debris. Absolutely SILENT. Perfectly remastered as well. Worth every penny I paid extra for. Don’t sleep on this!

I don't like the "release" names for the Vinyl/LP... They should of stayed unnamed/Untitled just like it was, and just as Aphex Twin releases are untitled songs. It gives more to the imagination than completely stripped down, there's no need for that.
Well at least I have a dozen of Quake CDs from around the world and including the id Anthology and THEY do not rub it in my nose each time I play them.

I consider this a halo because "null" did not exist back then only nothing rec and QUAKE was released in 1996 not 20 some decades later.

Halo QUAKE, Amen.

Long time QUAKE fan, it is the game that started it for me and I had always loved the soundtrack. When I saw NIN was releasing it on vinyl I decided to get into it - and this is what started my interest in vinyl. It sounds fantastic, and the nostalgic coolness value of this on vinyl record is just something else. I'm so glad I bought it. With that said I bought it off nin.com and it was more like $50 after shipping. Still totally worth it though but a lower price would have been nice.
