I finally managed to get my hands on one of the 250 copies of this track, and I must say it was well worth the money. It's unlike any other U2 track, and unlike the original Pop Muzik, it's more a Perfecto-style semi-trance tune, obviously owing to the fact it's mixed by Steve Osborne, Oakenfold's mixing partner. The original Pop Muzik is heavily sampled, in fact only one verse is by Bono, the choruses and some synths are lifted straight from the M version, and probably played a big part in why this was never released. The overall effect is of a Perfecto mix of M's track, which is in no way a bad thing. I'd recommend the track to fans of the original, and Steve Osborne lovers, but it's not really a U2 track too much. Even Discotheque, which is the most dance-oriented U2 track I've heard, is positively rock compared to this almost entirely guitarless composition. It is a very good track though, and of course a great collector's item.
