This is the only place you can get some of the versions of these songs, though included on the bonus disc of Boy, the versions Of Out Of Control and Stories for Boys are different on the Boy Remaster than they are found here. On The remaster Out Of Control is a alternate version/unedited, vocals sound slightly different, an extra bar in the middle, the song runs slightly longer and Stories for Boys has the extra drum roll on the remaster, sounds slightly different as well, perhaps due to EQ and remastering, however the original 12" version is abrupt and cold at the end. Boy/Girl sounds the same.

This is an original U2 Three EP from the first printing in October of 1979. The first printing was limited to only 1,000 copies, all individually numbered in either blue or black ink. All were sold or given away in Ireland by members of the band. They are as result, incredibly rare. Editions 2 thru 6 are auctioned often on

In the 12'' Vinyl, there were a total of 6 printings. This vinyl is from the first printing. There are notable differences between the 1st edition, and 2nd-6th editions. 2 thru 6 have have misspelled Ireland as "Irelnad", and have Stereo printed as "Stereo", with only the "S" capitalized. Of course 2 thru 6 lack the white sticker on the record sleeve denoting the limited edition and individual number. On all 6 printings, the band's names are etched into the dead wax just below the label. However, on editions 1-3 the etchings are found on both sides of the record.

On the original 1st printing only, Ireland is spelled correctly as "Ireland". Stereo is written in all caps "STEREO", and U2 is bolded "U-2". The band made it very easy to distinguish between the original edition and the subsequent common editions.

This is the basically the start of U2's discography and exposure to world. Hold and touch it, and it feels like you are holding the beginning of U2, one of the greatest bands of all time (for some). This is a centerpiece for any U2 collection. It deserves to be in the hands of a true U2 collector.

What copy number is this out of the legendary 1000 copies from first 1979 issue?
