I have this release on the French label échantillon, it was released on the 8th of March 1993 (3 weeks before this release) ive tried adding it to the database but the label échantillon is not recognised so discogs won't accept it. It has a yellow sticker on the front with handwritten writing...Que 002, Editeur Cops, Face A, 8 Mars 93 (i dont want to add the photo to this release).
What can you say about the track itself? The track Before the Dawn of Digital Synthesis is a masterpiece in my eyes,i thought at first it was a bit cheesy with that dumm dumm sample and the main riff sounding like the level completion in a dodgy mega drive game like Out Run but it has really grown on me.
This was a big track for Dj Vertigo in 1993 featuring on his Freshasa mixtape, the échantillon release is the rarer of the 2 releases and ive been told this was the version Vertigo played.

One of those cult 12's that you're glad you picked up at the time. Both these first 2 releases on Synthetique are treasured pieces of vinyl. A really strange record with bits of indie guitar and Art of Noise style syn-drum hits (dumm dumm geddit) tying all the tracks together. B2 is the track I keep going back to... They simply don't make them like this any more.
