For anyone familiar with Under the Dome's earlier output, this album may come as a surprise. Gone are the wall-of-sound sequences, to be replaced with pure ambient washes and pads.

This album represents the consolidation of two hour-long sets played by UtD on Chuck van Zyl's radio show, Star's End, in Philadelphia, USA. The band were in Philly to play at Chuck's Gathering concert series. Since his radio show follows the concert, and so goes out between 2am and 4am, the band decided that quieter, more ambient approach was appropriate. We end up with one of my favourite work's of their's - something to put on late at night and let yourself drift along to.

The album was initially a 'thank you' to those fans who had subsidised the band to go to the USA to play the concert. The band sold a CD of their radio performance before they left, using the money to pay for their trip, and pressed and issued the album on their return. An innovative approach, and one well worth the initial outlay for the fans.
