Weird. The warbling synth sound that begins 'Adrenaline' would appear to be a sample of the intro from the Television Personalities 'Salvador Dali's Garden Party'! A pretty off-the-wall source for a Detroit techno track.

Odd sample aside, this is an all-time classic UR IMO and up there with their best.

The first time I ever saw a tune being played backwards was this, in 1991. We put on a Warp night in Glasgow and I watched as Twitch from Pure lined up this EP from the middle of the record and I remember thinking "he better move his arse and get this lined up properly, he's gonna miss the cut" only to be completely gobsmacked as it mixed perfectly in time FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE FEKKIN, RECORD ! This was not natural ! But brilliant none the less.

Although this release is catalogued UR004 it was actually the groups 3RD release. Jeff Mills cites the Theory as being the groups 1ST release.

Quadrasonic. The moment I fell in love with this I was at the Walker Art Center back in 93 at the Jeff Koons art opening. Kevin Cole was dj for the night and somewhere in the set this gem came up. Sometimes you gotta have a record played really loud and appropriately to really get into it. Boom!! Still one of my favourite moments from UR.
