Does anyone have any idea what happened to Yolanda Reynolds. She sang on a few great Detroit house tracks then disappeared forever.

The first UR record I ever heard and I loved it from first listen and still do. Had no idea at the time that it would be the start of such a long running movement that I'd follow and enjoy to the present day. The main mix of this really is still unlike anything else I have heard to this day. Sure, it has all the hallmarks of that classic Inner Cityesque Detroit house sound, but there's something to the chord changes that really add some drama and depth to it. And the fact that the vocals don't properly kick in until the back half of the track make it stand out to me. And when those vocals do hit, they hit hard. Amazing track!

Careful with this one- I remember around 1997-1998 the shops were flooded with a re-press, & I mean HMV/Virgin/Tower e.tc- my guess is most on this page are not the OG & hence the low price...

Who could have guess that this first release was the beginning of one of the major techno labels? This track is really emotional, maybe not the most inspired but the true definition of the Detroit Garage nonetheless - as the term Detroit House first refered to what we call Techno nowadays.
