One of the greatest EP of the Platipus label, probably the best Union Jack ever released, a glorious reminder of how far real trance can go. I cannot keep my eyes open while listening to any of the sides, it's an instant trip to another universe.

Cockroach has an intensity that will never be equalled in any electronic track. All the elements are conductive to a very trippy experience, largely relying on nasty poignant acid lines. Not only the kickdrums drives the track with an incredible low end bass, but the filter variations add a complex rythm evoluting along the track.

On the other side, Yeti is more similar to the previously releader UJ's 'Cactus' hit, calmer, much more progressive and contemplative, creating a wide atmosphere with sound textures. It has the acid arp that defines the UJ sound, but the most interesting part is at the end of the track, with an incredible harrowing pad. The track takes you to a deep spiritual and emotional journey like no other.

Love both tracks, but "Cockroach" takes top prize for me. Edgy yet melodic acid trance. Brilliant.

100% trance, Both tracks arew pretty awesome but if i had to choose i would give the prize to Yeti which is very indicative of Union Jacks sound during the 90's, some unusual sounds and melodies, quiet similar to another Union Jack tune "Cactus". even though Cactus was a 93 release & Yeti a 97 release they are almost companion tracks. The ending is brilliant, another awesome example of how 90's trance could be so soulful & uplifting without the slightest hint of cheese!!!!

2 very awesome well produced trance tracks. Is it goa? Is it hard trance? Acid? I will just call this trance. Made at the end of trance's heyday by some of the masters. Wow!
