"Two Full Moons And A Trout" contains an uncredited sample of "Ghel Moma" performed by Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares, from the album Volume 3.
"Fromage Frais" is a trance version of "Ave Maria" originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.

From the booklet:
"Despite possible connotations with our name, we in fact draw our inspiration from an ancient spiritual Britain. Our aim is to make a positive association with an old name, and promote the unity of all."
"Long ago the Union Jack banner was created as a representation of something positive for this nation. Let go of the negative feelings about our history. It was the past, this is the future - There Will Be No Armageddon"

This is a 5 star CD, but at the same time, I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't already heard it. The album, like much of early 90s trance, has not aged well. People might be shocked at this, but the production quality of this album is low. When this album was released, there were some far more robust and future-proof tracks being released by other producers. This album, on the other hand, is composed of extremely simple melodies, synths, samples, and basslines. It didn't need to be complicated when it was released over 15 years ago, but a 2012 relisten makes this album feel very bland.

A hugely influential landmark ambient trance/house album from one of the best acts of the 90's. Almost all the tracks are gems in their own right and they haven't dated badly. Listen at high volume ;)

I've seen/heard 'Union Jack' play live on a Platipus Records tour - I rate this 5 out of 5, and would rate it higher if I could - they are one of the best.

There are a couple of songs here that have not dated well at all, but the majority are astounding reminders of how much we all enjoyed the mid-90s ambient techno scene. There is a lot of depth to this release, the techno is anything but mindless, the sub-bass and '3D' effects will have you running to save your speakers.

It's almost a poignant sound, gentle and textured which makes it a rare treasure indeed among its contemporaries. It's a dreadful shame the original version of the all-time classic 'Two Full Moons and a Trout' isn't included, but 'Water Drums', 'Lollipop Man', 'There will be no armageddon' and 'Toucan' make up for the loss. 5/5 for the beautiful sound and historical significance.
