"Some of the songs on this album are instrumental recordings of road songs you already know.
They others are road songs about death. They are meant to make you sad. And angry. They were written especially for the U.S. Department of Transportation's public information campaign to get problem drinkers off the road.
Drinking drivers kill half of all people who die on the road. And contrary to what you may think, there are real things that you, one single person, can do about it. You can play these songs for other people. You can urge them to support new anti-drunk driving laws. You can encourage them to back policemen and judges who enforce the laws that already exist. But more important than anything else you can do is this: If you are close to someone who has a drinking problem, don't them them drive when he's drunk.
Enjoy the music. Remember it. And remember that when a problem drinker drives, it's your problem."
