referencing Vicious Enemy / Switchblade, 12", DS 28

‘Switchblade’ conjures images of a deserted forest road littered with fiery red and orange leaves, swept aside by a gust of wind from a passing car on a crisp autumn day. The melody exudes feelings of regret with a twinge of that comforting 70’s “driving movie” feel. A simply amazing cut.

Those who like this kind of flavour should check Use of Weapons other 12" on Droppin' Science -'Stan’s Plan' or ‘Planetary Funk Alert’ by Seba. Interestingly, Switchblade is reminiscent of the sort of style found on Roni Size's 'New Forms' LP and would not have been out of place on that compilation! Anyone into the 'New Forms' sound should track this down.
