Ear Splitting Timbre is a soundtrack of a contemporary art Installation at UNESCO in February 2009. The theme deals with destruction, caused by explosions, and the symbol of the car as an instrument of urban violence. The soundtrack builds up the tension with the track "Ticker tracker", where a minimal & repetitive phrases haunt the listener. "Happentense" is the phase of real action where elements of concrete music dominate. Abrupt, unexpected sounds are altered with silence. Finally Scattered Metal & drones brings an elegiac conclusion to the soundtrack where the drones of an electronic tanpura (an instrument from India) texturizes the electronic instrument backdrop. The soundtrack was played in loops during the period of the installation and a limited number of copies sold in independant record shops and art galleries in paris.
