Van Morrison fell for the first time on as powerful vocalist of the 60 's-group Them (Baby Please Don't Go, Gloria) and afterwards with the solo hit Brown-Eyed Girl. Morrison followed that success with two key albums, Astral Weeks and Moondance, which he masterfully folk, gospel, rock and jazz combined. The soulful Irish is one of the most complex artists who rock and roll. On the many excellent recordings that he has made in his long career he sounded both pondering as passionate. Its form of rock music, which leans heavily on rhythm and blues, also contains always a mystical element.
