This release features four tracks of blissful quality from artists handpicked by the discerning folks over at Verdant HQ. Havantepe, Low Orbit Satellite, RV800 and finally Mick Welch all provide something special that will endure.

Opening we have Havantepe with ‘Phosphor’ and what is simply a sublime piece of dub. Not really much more to say other than if you like expertly executed Techno in a BC style then this is for you. Low Orbit Satellite’s ‘Twilight Stealth’ is ace with an infectious acid line full of energy and some searching synth work that combine to deliver a real piece of forward electronics.

This is the sort of tune that reminds me how much I love this music. RV800 give us ‘Lost Reality’ and the vibe takes me back to early Detroit but quickly opens up to Detroit sometime in the future. More acid fuelled funk so I am more than happy.

Closing out the release is Mick Welch and ‘Ornate Trails’ and as you would expect this is not only suitably ace along with the other tracks but also something quite special in its own right. Somewhat different to the other three but anyone familiar with Mick’s work would know he most definitely follows his own path. This doesn’t really sound like anything else, full of depth and a somewhat feel of melancholy emotion.
