Anthology of material from the back-catalog of Wax Trax! Records.

Outer box that holds everything has the catalog number TVT 7227-2. Disc catalog numbers are as follows:
Disc 1: TVT 7212-2a
Disc 2: TVT 7212-2b
Disc 3: TVT 7212-2c

Issued in a galvanized metal box, enclosed in a black net bag with an attached label that features the title and a machine-stamped serial number (out of a series of 10,000).
Contents include a 76 page booklet with a limited history of the Wax Trax! label and many historical photos, some previously unpublished.
Discs are housed in standard format, opaque black cd cases. The box also includes:

- Poster
- Drink Coasters (2)
- Patch
- Loose audio casette tape

The tape bed the discs rest on can be spooled onto a standard cassette tape and played.

I believe the reason there's no 242 is because Sony owned the rights to their back catalog material at the time.

@ fyuw4cher They weren't allowed to use any material by Front242 as a result of some licensing issues after wax trax went bankrupt. The Black Box was put out by TVT after they purchased Wax Trax. I would assume that Play It Again Sam records owned the rights to the 242 catalog, as they were in a partnership with Wax Trax.

I never get sick of listening to this excellent collection of early industrial and raunchy favorites. One thing I can't figure out is how they can devote 6 of the 78 pages to Front 242, and go so far as to state that "Front X Front" is their best selling release to date, yet neglect to include them on any of the three discs.
